A Sister First..
I was born in Macedon, NY in Jan 1993 to a big, loving Italian family of seven (at the time). I quickly realized my status in the home, with four boys first and five girls last. I got the pass-me-downs, learned to share fast, and was never ever babied. Thankfully, it made me tough and feisty. My family life was one out-of-the-ordinary. I can mildly describe it in another blog if I get asked more. But it's a lot.
Let's just say I was very sheltered, sometimes to my disadvantage, but it created the woman I am proud to be today... more on this coming, I promise you'll be so invested..
Step-Mom Second
Mason, Mason, Mason...
This little (soon to be) Step-son of mine is my 6 yr. old joy. Sometimes I prefer his company over most adults. He's smart, goofy, intelligent, wild and such a 'daddy's boy' it melts my heart. If I was his mother, he'd be my pride and joy. I remember meeting him+ his father for the first time, I was a waitress in a diner and Mason was freshly 2 yrs old.
His little chunky self was perched in a booster seat next to his 'dada'. He stole the show, I mean, James (his father) was too handsome to be considered in my mind. That's another blog waiting to be written. Reader, you'd best show up for that one! Maybe I will name it , My love story..
Last but not least..
A Photographer
Ok, I have so much to say.. but I'm not your average Photographer telling you the 'I knew I would do this, or it naturally came to me one day'. No, that's not how it happened to me. Here's my story.
Growing up I saw my father fight to have his own business + when he finally did (years later) he became so successful and I am so proud of him. But the struggle was so hard + watching that was never easy.
In my life (in our church, cult, etc) having your own business-especially as a woman-was not even considered, let alone frowned upon. I did love taking nature photos, but that's as far as it went. I got my first canon on my graduation day from my parents. Eventually saved up enough money to buy a bigger Canon + needless to say I left that place at age 24 and here I am.
Be patient with me, this is my first time blogging and there's so much more to say.. This is not the end of this description either..
